A world-premiere production of Monsieur de Balzac fait son théâtre—an opéra comique in four tableaux by Isabelle Aboulker to a libretto by Rémi Laureillard—presented by the Grand Théâtre/Opéra de Tours. Sets, costumes and props were created in the Grand Théâtre’s workshops. The performances were conducted by Philippe Hui and staged by Gilles Bouillon, with dramaturgy by Bernard Pico. Scenography/sets were by Nathalie Holt and costumes by Marc Anselmi. The Orchestre du Grand Théâtre performed for these presentations.
