Junge Oper Stuttgart’s production of Ludger Vollmer’s opera Gegen die Wand, staged by director Neco Çelik, premiered on 10 June 2010 in the Kammertheater Stuttgart. The production returned for a revival run in October 2011. In 2011, the staging received the German theatre award DER FAUST for direction in children’s and youth theatre. The work was presented by the youth branch of Staatsoper Stuttgart.
