Arturo Cirillo offers a musical re-reading of the story of Cyrano de Bergerac. Starting from a musical "Cyrano" he saw as a boy, with references to the work of Domenico Modugno, the staging blends spoken drama and songs: rearrangements and musical reworkings by Federico Odling sit alongside pieces by various authors, including Domenico Modugno, Édith Piaf, and Fiorenzo Carpi. The direction emphasizes the poetic and visionary side of Cyrano more than his duelist or rhetorical-hero aspect, creating a theatre-in-song that alternates dialogue and music. The production relies on a dedicated scenic design, costumes, and lighting (sets: Dario Gessati; costumes: Gianluca Falaschi; lights: Paolo Manti), and on a cast shaped around the show, to weave a register that mixes rhythm, color, and scenic invention.
