The Carpathian Castle is a stage adaptation of Jules Verne’s cult novel from the Extraordinary Voyages. The production immerses the audience in the eerie atmosphere of an isolated village steeped in superstition and fear, where strange phenomena appear to emanate from a crumbling hilltop castle. Centered on the traveler Franz de Telek—whose fascination with the singer “La Stilla” links him to Baron de Gortz—the plot becomes a perilous expedition into a realm where science meets fiction. Émilie Capliez reshapes the novel as a theatrical thriller that interweaves music, video, magic, and singing, with nested narratives.
