A new production of Osvaldo Golijov’s Ainadamar presented by Ópera de Oviedo at Teatro Campoamor, co-produced with the Festival Internacional de Música y Danza de Granada and the Santander Festival / FIS. Described as “an opera in one act and three images,” the performance was given without an interval and lasts 1 hour and 19 minutes. David Henry Hwang’s original libretto was translated into Spanish by the composer, and the performances were sung in Spanish.
