Quartett

About

"A salon from before the French Revolution / a bunker after the Third World War." With these words opens Quartett by the German playwright Heiner Müller, inspired by Les Liaisons dangereuses (1782) by Pierre Choderlos de Laclos. Created in 1999, Quartett is the result of a collaboration between two members of the Rosas dance company, Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker and Cynthia Loemij, and two members of the theatre collective tg STAN, Jolente De Keersmaeker and Frank Vercruyssen. The staging is a face-to-face encounter between two performers that fuses text and movement.
