Wunderland

WUNDERLAND is a community dance production by Tanzwerkstätten Yvonne Middelborg, presented as a guest performance at the Ateliertheater of Volkstheater Rostock. It brings together young dancers aged 6 to 17 from four locations across Mecklenburg-Vorpommern—Graal-Müritz, Kavelstorf, Dummerstorf, and Wustrow—who rehearse separately and unite for this shared stage experience. The piece is inspired both by dialogues with the participating youths and by Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland, weaving their voices with a fantastical narrative frame. Conceived and artistically led by Yvonne Middelborg, the work reflects her blend of choreography, dance education, and community-dance practice.
