Ehi Giò is a contemporary opera presented within Teatro Lirico Sperimentale di Spoleto “A. Belli”’s Progetto Opera Nova. Composed by Vittorio Montalti to a libretto by Giuliano Compagno, the work pays homage to the life and legacy of Gioachino Rossini. Scheduled for September 2016 at the Complesso Monumentale di San Nicolò in Spoleto, following an August preview, the production embodied the company’s experimental and modern focus in its 70th season.
