This production of Rossini’s masterful, laugh-out-loud comedy was scheduled to open Cincinnati Opera's 100th anniversary season in 2020. The staging was designed to showcase the rapid-fire punchlines and toe-tapping melodies of this prequel to The Marriage of Figaro. Grammy-winning mezzo-soprano Isabel Leonard was slated to sing Rosina, but the run was canceled due to the COVID-19 health crisis.
