This Teatro Real production is directed by Emilio Sagi and presented in Seville at the Teatro de la Maestranza. Sagi is responsible for stage direction and scenic design, with costumes by Pepa Ojanguren, lighting by Eduardo Bravo, and choreography by Nuria Castejón. The work is framed as a story of feelings, focusing on Luisa Fernanda's dilemma between the exciting and seductive Javier Moreno and the respectable, suitable Vidal Hernando, with Duchess Carolina completing the romantic triangle. Jordi Bernàcer conducts, joined by the Real Symphony Orchestra of Seville and the Teatro de la Maestranza Chorus.
