This 1969 staging of Irma la douce at the Grand Théâtre de Tours was directed by René Dupuy, bringing the quintessential Parisian musical comedy to the regional stage. The production featured set and costume designs (maquettes) by Jacques Noël, with the physical production of sets, costumes, and accessories executed by Do-Fa. The artistic vision relied heavily on a versatile supporting cast, requiring actors to rapidly switch between multiple roles—ranging from clients and police officers to judges and guides—to bring the 22 distinct scenes (tableaux) to life.
