Vienne chante et danse is an opérette à grand spectacle in two acts and 18 tableaux. The 1977 Grand Théâtre de Tours production featured musical direction by Jack Ledru, who also crafted additional arrangements from music by Johann Strauss I and II. Gérard Boireau directed the staging and Christian Uboldi created the choreography. Sets and costumes by Raymond Fost were sourced from the Grand-Théâtre de Bordeaux, underscoring an inter-theatre collaboration. The production mobilized the Orchestre du Grand Théâtre, the Choeurs lyriques de l'Université, and the Ballet du Grand Théâtre, joined by students from the Conservatoire National de Région.
