This production of Quatre jours à Paris was a recurring house staging at the Opéra de Tours, revived across three different seasons during the 1950s (1952, 1954, and 1959). Directed consistently by Paul Mestre, the production maintained its core directorial vision while rotating musical directors, choreographers, and principal casts over the decade. The staging relied on in-house ensembles—the Orchestre du Grand Théâtre de Tours, the Choeurs du Grand Théâtre, and the Ballet du Grand Théâtre. Design elements evolved between revivals: the 1954 run featured sets and costumes provided by Arts et Spectacles alongside Antoinette Aubert, while the 1952 run used the theatre’s own sets. The 1959 revival expanded the dance components by incorporating the Ballet de caractère de Wladimir Ignatov et ses danseurs.
