About this event

This is a two-act comedy staging of David MacGregor's play "Vino veritas". Heiti Pakk translated and directed the production with Rein Pakk; Karmo Mende is credited as designer and Oskar Harding as lighting designer. The production premiered at Karlova Teater on 13 March 2025 and continues as part of Komöödiateater's touring activity. Its central device is an ancient drink brought back from Peru by the party host. Four friends use it in an attempt to make one another tell only the truth, reversing the usual relationship-comedy pattern in which lies drive the action. The result is described as both frightening and comic.
