Presented at Koerner Hall in the style and spirit of the composer’s own productions, Tafelmusik’s performances are directed annually by Ivars Taurins, recognized as Canada’s “Prince of Messiah.” The production leverages the famously wonderful acoustics of Koerner Hall to deliver a sound that rivals great church acoustics. The artistic vision focuses on a highly nuanced and well-judged conducting style by Taurins, paired with a brilliant cast of soloists. The production is a staple of Tafelmusik's holiday season, returning each year to celebrate the festive period with a focus on smooth, silk-like choral and orchestral execution.
