About this event

The Bogota Philharmonic Orchestra (BPO), led by assistant conductor Rubian Zuluaga, presents “Navidad Filarmónica,” its annual year-end concert that has become a tradition at the Teatro Mayor Julio Mario Santo Domingo. The program brings together orchestral arrangements of traditional carols, popular Colombian and Latin American Christmas songs, and original compositions by Colombian arranger Victoriano Valencia, creating an evening designed for the whole family. The concert combines the power of a full symphony orchestra with the warmth of the Youth Philharmonic Choir and the Children’s Philharmonic Choir (presented as a “Fusion of Philharmonic Choirs”), performing pieces such as “Tamborilero,” medleys of classic carols, and Colombian tropical songs adapted to the symphonic format. The December 17, 2026 performance is a special benefit gala in support of Fundación CRAN, whose mission is to ensure that no child in Colombia spends Christmas away from a loving, caring family.
