Conceived by music director Thomas Hengelbrock with the Orchestre de chambre de Paris, this one-night celebration assembles ceremonial and festive masterpieces by Handel alongside Mozart’s radiant "Prague" Symphony. The evening evokes the grandeur of British royal occasions with Händel’s coronation anthem Zadok the Priest and the jubilant Music for the Royal Fireworks, and nods to Mozart’s triumphant reception in Prague with the Symphony No. 38 in D major, K. 504. Soprano Jeanine De Bique brings virtuosity and warmth to Handel’s vocal pages, and the Choeurs de lycéens de Paris et de Fontainebleau add a powerful community dimension to the program’s choral moments. Audience engagement is foregrounded through a pre-concert "Clés d'écoute" session (19:15–19:50) and continued guidance during the intermission, inviting listeners into the historical and musical contexts of the works.
