About this event

The 46th Osaka Subscription Concert is a year-end tradition for the Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra, bringing Beethoven’s monumental Symphony No. 9 to the Kansai region. The performance is led by the orchestra’s Principal Conductor, Sebastian Weigle. The solo lineup features Michiko Takeda (soprano), Mihoko Fujimura (mezzo-soprano), and Austrian tenor Nikolai Schukoff, joined by the New National Theatre Chorus for the iconic “Ode to Joy” finale. Presented at Osaka’s historic Festival Hall, the concert is supported by Yomiuri Shimbun, Nippon TV, and Yomiuri TV.
