This concert marks the near completion of a five-year comprehensive renovation of Johanneskirche. It is presented as a musical tribute by cantor Wolfgang Abendroth to the church's established interest in twentieth-century French music. The large-scale choral and orchestral program brings together double mixed choir, organ and orchestra, with Johanneskantorei Düsseldorf, Düsseldorfer Kammerchor and Düsseldorf Festival Orchester participating. Wolfgang Abendroth conducts. No staging, director, scenic design, costumes, lighting design or choreography is published.
