20 Minuten – Volksbühne am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz, Berlin

About this event

“20 Minuten” is a recurring Volksbühne event format presented in the Roter Salon. Once each quarter, the Volksbühne invites Berlin-based artists to develop a lecture performance from their own artistic practice. The event is framed as an open evening in which artists work with lecture performance as the central form. The production explores the relationship between artistic practice, spoken explanation, storytelling, and performance. Lecture performance is described as an interdisciplinary form that has circulated between fields since the 1960s and has entered both theatrical and academic contexts. The structure is deliberately open: a lecture performance lasting 20 minutes. The artists and other production personnel for the 15 October 2026 performance are not named in the supplied materials.
