Stadttheater, Baden bei Wien

About this event

Bühne Baden presents Emmerich Kálmán’s operetta in a special, intimate version at the Max-Reinhardt-Foyer. The adaptation includes dialogue by Juliane Weigel-Krämer and is conceived specifically for Bühne Baden as a salon or foyer version. Cornelia Ertl directs, Anna Vita choreographs, Friederike Friedrich designs the costumes, and Joseph Turbessi is responsible for musical direction. The Bühne Baden Orchestra participates as the ensemble. The staging brings the audience close to the characters and their dreams. The production combines the Montmartre milieu of studios, cafés, and small stages with Kálmán’s operetta style of waltz, foxtrot, and chanson.
