About this event

This is a new staging of Henry Purcell's Dido and Aeneas, presented by Teatro Verdi di Pisa in co-production with Teatro Goldoni di Livorno. The production's distinctive scholarly element is the musical and dramaturgical reconstruction of the Prologue by Attilio Cremonesi and Francesco Bondi, together with the English translation of the Homeric hymn to Juno by Mattia Mantellato.
