About this event

This is an orchestral concert presented in the Großer Saal of the Elbphilharmonie. The production is concert-only: the source materials identify an orchestra, piano soloist, conductor, a pre-concert introduction, and the musical program, but do not identify a director, stage designer, costume designer, lighting designer, or theatrical staging concept. Alan Gilbert conducts the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra, with Leif Ove Andsnes as piano soloist in Brahms's Piano Concerto No. 2. The program sets Brahms's large-scale concerto against two French orchestral works, creating a structure that moves from a piano-led concerto to orchestral depictions of the sea and a ballet-derived suite. The event schedule includes foyer admission at 18:30, a Julius Heile introduction at 19:00, and the concert at 20:00. The source identifies no event-specific video stream, subtitle system, or additional production design.
