About this event
LAC is a Jean-Christophe Maillot ballet performed by Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo. The Toulon engagement is presented by Opéra de Toulon as an hors-les-murs event at Zénith de Toulon, with two performances on 7 and 8 October 2026. Jean-Christophe Maillot is credited as choreographer, and Piotr Ilitch Tchaïkovski with the music. The design team includes Ernest Pignon-Ernest for scenography, Philippe Guillotel for costumes, and Jean-Christophe Maillot and Samuel Thery for lighting. Jean Rouaud is credited with dramaturgy, while Bertrand Maillot is credited with additional music. The staging is a psychological and symbolic reworking of the traditional fairy tale, placing the prince in a Machiavellian family context and exploring opposing values such as white and black, good and evil, candour and eroticism.
