This new Ostrava staging presents Giselle as a Romantic ballet built on the contrast between the human and supernatural worlds. The official production text describes the concept as a combination of classical-ballet refinement and a contemporary perspective, with emphasis on technical precision, musicality, and a visual and dramatic atmosphere. Andrea Helander Kramešová is credited as choreographer and stage director, working after Jean Coralli, Jules Perrot and Marius Petipa. The production team includes Václav Janeček as dramaturg, Filip Urban as music director, Marek Šedivý and Filip Urban as conductors, Martin Chocholoušek as set designer, Roman Šolc as costume designer, and Lenka Šustová Hrabovská as assistant choreographer.
