Contemporary Classical & New Music Concert
This Konzertinstallation is built around the organ and brass instruments in Stadtkirche St. Johann. ONCEIM makes its Donaueschinger Musiktage festival debut, with the organ heard at the festival again for the first time since 2018 and combined with brass instruments. Marina Rosenfeld's contribution is concerned with the psychoacoustic reverberation of sound in highly resonant spaces and the transition from sound into silence. Her score consists of instructions rather than a conventionally described fixed staging concept, giving the Paris-based improvisers room to contribute their own aural understanding and practical experience. The second work, Éliane Radigue's OCCAM XXV zeta, is presented as a world premiere. The event frames the premiere as a tribute to Radigue and notes her close connection with both the Donaueschinger Musiktage and ONCEIM.
