About this event

This is a two-performer concert built around the duo of Portuguese trumpeter Susana Santos Silva and Kazakh violinist Aisha Orazbayeva. The event presents a new duo configuration following Santos Silva's solo appearance with the SWR Symphonieorchester in the festival opening concert. The artistic format is an open dialogue between trumpet and violin. The performers draw on experience in early music, contemporary music, composition, improvisation, and collaborations in theatre and dance projects. The event is framed as a meeting of these practices rather than a conventional work-by-work recital. No director, stage designer, lighting designer, costume designer, choreographer, theatrical staging, or fixed scenic concept is specified.
