UR! is a stage and video performance by Simon Steen-Andersen in collaboration with Michael Schmid. The event is identified as a world premiere and credits commissions from SWR, Ictus, Festival d'automne, Festival 20·21, De Bijloke Muziekcentrum, Frequenz Festival and Perpodium. The project is supported by the Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation and developed in collaboration with Hellerau - European Centre for the Arts. The production is built around Kurt Schwitters' Ursonate and his cross-disciplinary artistic practice. Multimedia and video are used to create a double portrait of the artist and the performer in a theatrical encounter across time and space.
