About this event

This is the closing event of La Biennale di Venezia's 70th International Festival of Contemporary Music, titled A Child of Sound and directed by Caterina Barbieri. The festival concept uses the child of sound as a figure associated with revolution and healing, and the edition combines new commissions, premieres and participatory modes of listening across genres and historical periods. The event opens with Clarissa Connelly's Canons for eight-voice a cappella choir, continues with ONCEIM's programme featuring Ellen Arkbro's For orchestra and Caterina Barbieri's Non puoi contare l'infinito, and concludes with the Singeli Spirit live set by Jay Mitta, DJ Travella and Pili Pili Girls. The event is presented as a standing concert with haze or smoke and flashing lights.
