제23회 대구국제오페라축제 <미인> – Daegu Culture & Arts Centre, Daegu-si

About this event

The official performance page identifies this work as the closing production of the 23rd Daegu International Opera Festival, created and produced by Daegu Opera House. Daegu Metropolitan City and the Daegu Cultural Arts Promotion Agency's Daegu Opera House are listed as hosts, with Daegu Opera House listed as the organizer. According to 2026 press coverage, this is a new opera created by composer Jin Young-min and librettist Jo Gwang-hwa, based on the late-Joseon painter Hyewon Shin Yun-bok's painting 「미인도」. It will receive its world premiere in full-length form at the 23rd festival. Separate coverage explains that the work, previously introduced in concertante form the previous year, has been expanded into a fully staged opera for 2026. The available 2026 performance pages and articles do not identify the director, conductor, set, costume or lighting designers, choreographer, specific stage transitions, or cast.
