About this event

This is a co-production of Gemeinschaftstheater Krefeld-Mönchengladbach and Theater Osnabrück. The Krefeld presentation follows the same production concept as the Mönchengladbach presentation, with direction by Ansgar Weigner and set and costume design by Darko Petrovic. The staging uses movable scenic elements and projections to suggest cabins, decks, engine rooms, and the scale of the ship. It avoids literal disaster spectacle and places the individual characters and their decisions at the center. The creative team includes musical director Sebastian Engel, choreographer Sabrina Stein, chorus director Michael Preiser, and dramaturg Ulrike Aistleitner. Supporting material includes a historical Titanic exhibition, an audio introduction, and a photo area.
