А Он, Мятежный, Просит Бури... – Konstantinovsky Palace, Strel'na

About this event

This is a solo literary-musical performance by Svetlana Kryuchkova built around the poetry and biographical context of Mikhail Lermontov. Familiar Lermontov texts are presented in an open, newly contextualized manner, alongside little-known stories that reveal personal dramas and shades of feeling in the poet's life. The staging combines spoken poetic material with music by Russian composers, including composers who were Lermontov's contemporaries. The stated artistic approach uses the relationship between poetic speech and music to convey the poet's inner world, including loneliness and an uncompromising search for an ideal. The event is presented as a single-performer format rather than an opera, orchestral concert, or multi-character play.
