About this event

This is Ross School's local presentation of San Francisco Opera's annual Opera Together educational program. The Ross page describes a continuing partnership with San Francisco Opera in which interested fifth-grade students rehearse and perform on stage with professional opera singers and musicians from SF Opera. All fifth graders participate as the opera chorus, complementing the action on stage. The official program is designed for grades 4–12 and uses professional singers and a pianist alongside students in speaking, acting, and chorus roles. Students memorize lines, music, and staging before an artist-coached dress rehearsal, where props, costumes, and scenery are added, followed by a performance for the school and community. The school must provide a designated facilitator, a performance space, and a working piano. The Fall 2026 production credit identifies Paul Dab as musical director and Nicolas A. Garcia as stage director.
