This is a chamber concert at the Deutsche Oper Berlin's Tischlerei. The concert series explores remembrance through words, images and sound, examining the history of the opera house's own employees and artistic community. The musical programme combines songs by Werner Richard Heymann, a work for percussion sextet by Miloslav Kabelac, a work for string quartet and soprano by Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy and Aribert Reimann, and Mendelssohn's String Quartet No. 2. The event combines live music with documentary reading. Margarita Broich reads from personal documents between the musical contributions, while the programme is based on research by the orchestra board and principal timpanist Benedikt Leithner. The visual material uses historical photographs and stage images connected with the remembrance theme. Benedikt Leithner is credited with programme design, alongside Kristina Stanek, Julieth Lozano, Margarita Broich and musicians of the Orchestra of the Deutsche Oper Berlin.
