About this event
This is a single-work symphonic concert, not a staged opera. The program is built around Gustav Mahler's Symphony No. 2, "Resurrection," and is presented under the title "Gala de aniversarios." The concert is also identified as the closing event of the 2026 Symphonic Season. The event commemorates the 85th anniversary of the Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional and the 40th anniversary of Fundación Sinfonía. Its performing forces are the Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional, a chorus of more than 100 voices, soprano Nathalie Peña-Comas and mezzosoprano Joyce DiDonato, conducted by José Antonio Molina. The concert is presented in Sala Carlos Piantini at Teatro Nacional Eduardo Brito and lasts 1 hour 30 minutes without intermission.
