Bal Des Sorcières – Musée D'Aquitaine, Bordeaux

About this event

The event is presented under the Opéra National de Bordeaux's “Danse | Pratiquer” category and is associated with the Ballet de l'Opéra National de Bordeaux. It takes place at the Musée d'Aquitaine and marks the opening of the exhibition “Tremblez, tremblez ! Les sorcières sont parmi nous !”. The concept uses the figure of the witch as a route through the history of dance, including fantastical and unexpected representations. This is an audience-participation format rather than a named repertoire work. Attendees are invited to wear capes and frightening dresses and to discover Sabbath dances alongside the Opera's dancers. Costume elements from the Opera's stock may supplement attendees' outfits, and a dance initiation is offered through workshops organized at the Grand-Théâtre. The ticket also grants access to the exhibition on the evening of the event. No specific choreographic or musical work is listed.
