About this event

"Offenbach offenbart" is a VR introduction to a musical work presented in the foyer of the theatre tent as a Digital Theatre event. It introduces Jacques Offenbach's opera "The Tales of Hoffmann" and is not a separate staging of the opera. In a fictional posthumous appearance, Jacques Offenbach receives the audience as a ghostly guest speaker. He welcomes them in the foyer, takes them into his composition workshop, and guides them through important places and events connected with the creation of the opera. Wearing VR headsets, audience members participate as a travelling group, encounter selected figures, and return to the theatre in time for the performance. The event can only be booked together with a visit to "The Tales of Hoffmann".
