About this event
This concert-format production combines symphonic performance with a reading and elements of show and musical reinterpretation. The evening is framed around light, memory and an ultimate question, presenting Mahler's "Resurrection Symphony" in a contemporary context rather than as a conventional complete performance. The program unfolds in chapters, moving from Mahler's "Urlicht" to Fabia Mantwill's unnamed new work, Edvard Moritz's second movement from Nachtmusik, a reading by David Ali Rashed and the finale of Mahler's Second Symphony. Its thematic frame includes hope, responsibility, solidarity and Tikkun Olam, described as the repair of the world.
