Insight Piano – Steinway & Sons Fabrik Hamburg, Hamburg

About this event

The event combines a guided tour of the Steinway & Sons production halls with a piano-focused presentation. It explores the practical conditions required for a piano to sound properly, including tuning, key touch and pedal pressure. Simon Rempe, a Steinway piano builder, discusses the instrument and its maintenance, while pianist Elisabeth Brauß provides the live piano contribution. Vincent Dahm moderates and Anne Kussmaul is credited with the concept. The programme takes place at the Steinway & Sons Hamburg site, Rondenbarg 15, and runs from 18:00 to 21:15.
