The production is the first children's chamber concert in the listed 2026/27 event record. It is intended for children aged five and older and is built around music for woodwind quintet. The participating musicians are identified collectively as musicians of the Hessisches Staatsorchester, without named individual performers. Halloween provides the thematic setting, with ghosts, monsters and skeletons. The music is frightening, shiver-inducing and eerie, while also serving as an antidote to fear and a source of courage. Children are invited to attend with their parents and grandparents in scary costumes and discover what the orchestra musicians have prepared.
