About this event

The production is a stage adaptation of The Julekalender, presented in the theatrical format associated with the television version. It is set in an old elf cave in Jutland near Oluf and Gertrud Sand's house, using familiar characters and comic situations, including Gertrud's Christmas decoration box and the mistletoe. Lion Musicals presents and produces the production in cooperation with Herning Ny Teater. The 2026 tour features Gordon Kennedy, Niels Olsen, and Christian Damsgaard, with Troels Malling as understudy for the principal role combinations. Lars Knutzon is the director. The script and music are credited to Viggo Sommer, Carsten Knudsen, and Uffe Rørbæk Madsen of De Nattergale.
