About this event

This is the Opéra de Lille production of Gounod's Faust, co-produced with Opéra-Comique and Palazzetto Bru Zane - Centre de musique romantique française. The Palma presentation uses the original version of the work, an opera in four acts with spoken dialogue rather than later recitatives. Denis Podalydès directs the staging, with Éric Ruf responsible for set design, Christian Lacroix for costumes, Bertrand Couderc for lighting, and Cécile Bon for choreography. Alejandro Cantalapiedra is musical director, joined by the Orquestra Simfònica Illes Balears and the Cor del Teatre Principal, with Francesc Bonnín directing the chorus. Laurent Delvert is assistant stage director and revival director; Maud Billen is second assistant stage director; Gonzalo Alarcón is musical assistant; Borja Mariño is répétiteur; and Laïla Barnat is French coach.
