About this event

This is a symphonic concert presented under the title My Town Concert 2026: Nagai Performance. The listed forces are conductor Chikara Iwamura, the Yamagata Symphony Orchestra, and the Yamagata Prefectural Nagai High School Wind Band. The program begins with Mozart's overture to The Marriage of Figaro and Jupiter Symphony, followed by selections from Respighi's Ancient Airs and Dances, Bartók's Romanian Folk Dances, and the fourth movement of Dvořák's From the New World. The concert closes with Respighi's The Pines of Rome: The Pines of the Appian Way, performed jointly with the Nagai High School wind band. Performers and musical selections may change for unavoidable reasons.
