Rebecca Roger Cruz – Théâtre de la Renaissance, Oullins

About this event

Rebecca Roger Cruz is presented as a singer and percussionist in the Opéra Underground program. The event develops a musical landscape at the intersection of early, traditional, collective, and improvised music. It combines Afro-Venezuelan percussion, Latin American popular song, baroque, lyrical music, jazz, rock, and flamenco. Cruz's voice and percussion are joined by four musicians, with an emphasis on experimenting with sound sources and textures. The result is described as a percussive ceremony from which the forces of nature emerge. The event is supported by the Génération Spedidam scheme and presented in partnership with Théâtre de La Renaissance.
