About this event

This is a staged chamber-music production based on excerpts from Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's ballet suite The Nutcracker, Op. 71a, paired with Matthias Werner's Huckepack, an overture for children and young people in a string-quartet arrangement. The production combines live chamber music, physical performance, acting, dance, scenic design, and costumes. The instrumental ensemble is a string quartet consisting of two violins, viola, and violoncello. Julia Ruthensteiner-Schwarz performs the acting, while Fani Raab performs the dance. Lila Silvia Scheibelhofer is responsible for set design and costumes, Studio Keck for the concept, and Sarah Jeanne Babits for the direction.
