About this event

This is a new La bohème for Bjørvika, directed by R. B. Schlather. The staging draws on Henri Murger's episodic depictions of young artists in Paris and presents young people living as if they were immortal, while art, friendship and infatuation create a temporary space outside ordinary reality. The design team includes Anna Kirsch for scenery, Terese Wadden for costumes and Adam Silverman for lighting. Skye Bronfenbrenner is the movement instructor, and musical leadership is shared by Jordan de Souza and Peter Szilvay. The production uses the Opera Chorus, Children's Chorus and Opera Orchestra, and includes dancer Silas Henriksen.
