About this event
The production presents Mendelssohn's Elias as a two-part oratorio for solo voices, chorus, and orchestra. It lasts 150 minutes, including an intermission after the first part. Konzertchor der Stadt Solothurn performs with Camerata 49, conducted and directed by Joël Morand. The oratorio combines Baroque tradition with Romantic musical language and includes choruses, arias, recitatives, and ensembles.
