Anne-Lise Polochlopek & Federico Tibone – Palais du Pharo, Marseille

About this event

The event is presented as a recital led by mezzo-soprano Anne-Lise Polchlopek, with Federico Tibone at the piano. The recital is conceived as a personal gesture of thanks and as a hymn to life intended to bring people together. Its concept combines classical vocal repertoire with popular song. The page places Mozart in relation to Violeta Parra, Bernstein in relation to Cécile Chaminade, and opera in contact with French song. Brel's “Les Vieux amants” and Cherubino's aria are cited as examples of this crossing of styles. Tibone is also described as a conductor and pianist who has worked as an assistant to Lawrence Foster and Michele Spotti at the Marseille Opera.
