About this event

This is a concert-cycle production rather than a staged opera or theatre production. Valery Gergiev conducts the Mariinsky Orchestra in a complete presentation of Dmitri Shostakovich's fifteen symphonies, marking the 120th anniversary of the composer's birth. The production is organized as a six-evening, eight-sitting sequence at the Shanghai Grand Opera House's Soar Theatre. It includes both widely performed works and less frequently heard symphonies, including Nos. 3, 13, and 14.
