About this event

This Compañía Nacional de Ópera (INBAL) production presents Puccini's Tosca as a drama without redemption, shaped by power, violence, deception, and political tension. The production emphasizes a direct dramatic progression toward the ending rather than reversals that offer consolation. Floria Tosca develops from a socially sophisticated woman with no political interest into a heroine forced to act by extreme circumstances. The production is directed by Luis Miguel Lombana, with Stefan Lano as conductor and Rodrigo Elorduy credited as guest chorus director. The Coro del Teatro de Bellas Artes and Orquesta del Teatro de Bellas Artes participate in the production.
